10:10 Games has announced the official launch date of Funko Fusion, an action-adventure game that brings together a wide range of pop culture icons in bobblehead form. Set to be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch on 13 September 2024, the game promises to be a celebration of some of the most beloved movies and TV series from the NBCUniversal roster.

The game’s teaser trailer, released in 2023, gave fans a glimpse of what to expect, featuring characters from The Thing, The Umbrella Academy, The Mummy (1999), Jurassic Park, and more. However, a new trailer and box art have now revealed even more of the game’s main characters and the exciting adventures they will embark on.

According to 10:10 Games, Funko Fusion will pay tribute to over 20 different franchises, ranging from blockbuster movies like Jurassic World, Jaws, Back to the Future, and Chucky, to hit TV series such as Battlestar Galactica, The Umbrella Academy, and Masters of the Universe. The game promises to offer players the opportunity to immerse themselves in these iconic worlds and engage in thrilling action sequences.

The latest trailer for the game showcases characters from surprise franchises like Invincible, Five Nights At Freddy’s, Nope, M3GAN, and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, among others. Players will be able to explore familiar movie locales, engage in real-time action segments, and even participate in over-the-shoulder first-person shooter sequences.

One interesting aspect of the game is the inclusion of Funko Pop Vinyl figures that do not yet exist in the real world. Characters like R.J. MacReady from The Thing and the titular M3GAN are featured in the game, despite Funko not currently producing figures for them. This has led to speculation that these figures may be released in the future, possibly in conjunction with the video game launch.

Overall, Funko Fusion promises to be an exciting and nostalgic journey through some of the most iconic films and TV shows of all time. With its diverse roster of characters and immersive gameplay, the game is sure to delight fans of pop culture and adventure games alike. Stay tuned for more updates as the release date approaches.
