The popular asymmetrical horror game, Dead by Daylight, has announced an exciting crossover with the iconic Castlevania franchise. Fans of both games will be thrilled to hear that Dracula and Trevor Belmont are set to join the cast, bringing with them their unique abilities and dynamics to the Fog. This collaboration promises to add a whole new layer of horror and excitement to the game for players to enjoy.
In this crossover, Dracula will take on the role of the Killer in Dead by Daylight. With a new shapeshifting ability, Dracula can transform into vampire, wolf, and bat forms, allowing him to better sneak up on unsuspecting Survivors. Each form comes with its set of unique skills – in his vampire form, Dracula can summon fire to burn Survivors, while his bat form allows him to move quickly and quietly through the map. His wolf form gives him the ability to track Survivors by scent, making him a formidable opponent in the game. Additionally, Dracula’s castle will loom in the background of stages where he’s selected as the Killer, adding an extra layer of fear and ambiance to the gameplay.
On the Survivor side, players will control Trevor Belmont, a skilled vampire hunter from the Castlevania series. Trevor’s abilities focus on seeking out allies and working as part of a team to combat the Killer. While wielding unspecified vampire hunting abilities, Trevor’s character model features a light chain that may be connected to his Vampire Killer holy whip. It is yet to be confirmed whether he will use this iconic weapon in the game, but given Dracula’s abilities, the whip could certainly come in handy in the fight against the vampire Killer.
This collaboration marks a significant achievement for Behaviour Interactive, as they have managed to secure the rights to use the iconic Castlevania franchise in Dead by Daylight.
