Recent additions to the Mortal Kombat 1 roster as guest characters have stirred up quite a buzz, with the likes of Omni-Man and Peacemaker making their presence known. However, one more teased guest character has yet to make his debut – Homelander from The Boys. During the MK1 Pro Kompetition, fans were given a quick look at this final guest character, and the tease is both exciting and nauseating, mirroring the tone of the source material.
The Homelander teaser video, clocking in at just 45 seconds, is packed with plenty of information for eager fans to dissect. The teaser provides a glimpse into both of Homelander’s Fatalities, showcasing his deadly heat vision and a creative use of a commercial plane. A major question that looms over the upcoming character is the voice behind him. While the character bears a striking resemblance to actor Antony Starr, Starr himself mentioned on Instagram that he would not be portraying Homelander in MK1. This leaves fans speculating on who will ultimately voice the character.
Homelander will be the final guest character in Mortal Kombat 1’s first Kombat Pass, joining other characters such as Omni-Man, Quan Chi, Peacemaker, and Ermac. The addition of Homelander will round out the expansion roster, with Takeda set to close out the pass’s content later this year. Mortal Kombat 1 is currently available on multiple platforms including Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Players can also access the Kombat Pass, either as a standalone purchase or included in the premium editions of the game.
The introduction of Homelander as a guest character in Mortal Kombat 1 is sure to excite fans of both the game and The Boys series. With his unique powers and edgy personality, Homelander promises to bring a new level of excitement and intensity to the game’s roster. Fans will eagerly anticipate his arrival, eager to see how this controversial character will shake up the Mortal Kombat universe.
