Outcast: A New Beginning, the long-awaited sequel to the classic open-world game, has taken inspiration from an unexpected source – The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. After a 25-year hiatus, the Outcast series has returned with a renewed focus on non-linear gameplay and exploration.

Game director Pablo Coma emphasizes the importance of creating a completely non-linear experience for players. Unlike traditional games that lock content behind experience systems, Outcast: A New Beginning allows players to explore the vast world of Adelpha in any order they choose. This sense of freedom and liberation is reminiscent of the design principles seen in Breath of the Wild.

One of the key features in Outcast: A New Beginning is the gliding suit, which allows players to traverse the expansive world at high speeds without consuming energy. This tool, along with other traversal options like a mini-jetpack and hover suit, enhances the sense of exploration and discovery in the game. With a massive world of 64 square kilometers to explore, players are encouraged to uncover every hidden corner and push the boundaries of their exploration.

Outcast: A New Beginning is set to launch on March 15 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Players can already experience a taste of the game through its demo on Steam. With its focus on non-linear gameplay, fast-paced traversal, and vast open world, Outcast – A New Beginning promises to revolutionize the open-world gaming genre and provide players with an unforgettable adventure.
