Tomorrow marks the arrival of the highly anticipated crossover event between Final Fantasy 14 and Final Fantasy 16. Fans can look forward to a range of exciting rewards, including a new minion, a unique mount, stylish armor inspired by FF16, and more.

The crossover event was first announced by Naoki ‘Yoshi-P’ Yoshida, the director of FF14, and the producer of FF16, during last year’s Final Fantasy Fan Fest in London. Players can expect a level 50 quest that offers gear inspired by FF16’s protagonist, Clive Rosfield, including his iconic armor and loyal companion, Torgal, in both mount and minion form. Additionally, there will be a Clive Triple Triad card and orchestration rolls featuring FF16’s captivating soundtrack composed by Masayoshi Soken.

The Path Infernal event draws inspiration from Clive’s connection to the fire deity, Ifrit. While some may be concerned about potential spoilers for FF16, Yoshida reassures players that the quest won’t reveal “much” of the game’s storyline. This gives fans the green light to dive into the event without fear of major plot details being revealed prematurely. The event will run until May 8th, providing players with ample time to complete the quest and collect all the exclusive rewards.

To embark on this epic crossover journey, players can initiate the starting quest, “A Land on Fire,” located in Ul’dah’s Steps of Nald. However, participants must be at least level 50 and have completed the main scenario quest, “The Ultimate Weapon,” from the base game, A Realm Reborn, in order to participate in the event.

The crossover event between Final Fantasy 14 and Final Fantasy 16 is a highly anticipated collaboration that offers players a chance to experience the best of both worlds. With exclusive rewards, inspired gear, and a thrilling questline, fans are in for an unforgettable experience. Don’t miss out on this limited-time event and immerse yourself in the magical world of Final Fantasy!
