Inti Creates recently made the disappointing announcement that their musical rhythm game GUNVOLT RECORDS: Cychronicle has been temporarily taken down from the North American Switch eShop. The studio cited a “change in ratings” as the reason for this removal. This setback is not unfamiliar to the studio, as they had to go through a similar situation last year with Grim Guardians: Demon Purge, which had to be renamed to “Gal Guardians: Demon Purge” due to a trademark complaint. However, the current issue seems to be less severe in nature, but it has still resulted in the unavailability of Gunvolt Records on the North American eShop.

Despite the inconvenience caused by the removal of the game, Inti Creates is actively working to rectify the rating-related problem and have Gunvolt Records reinstated on the eShop as soon as possible. For those eager to experience the game, it is still accessible on the European counterpart of the eShop. The studio’s commitment to resolving the issue promptly showcases their dedication to providing their fans with uninterrupted access to their creations.

Released on the Switch eShop on 15th February, GUNVOLT RECORDS: Cychronicle offers players a unique rhythmic gameplay experience inspired by the popular Azure Striker Gunvolt series. The game features the songstresses Lumen, Lola, and Luxia, who perform 15 different songs for players to enjoy. Players must follow the musical notes and sync with the characters’ movements in the 3D backgrounds to achieve high scores and immerse themselves in the electrifying rhythm game experience. The inclusion of dual analog controls adds to the immersive nature of the gameplay, providing players with a truly engaging experience.

Inti Creates’ temporary removal of GUNVOLT RECORDS: Cychronicle from the North American Switch eShop due to a change in ratings serves as a reminder of the challenges faced by game developers in navigating the regulatory landscape. However, the studio’s proactive efforts to resolve the issue and their commitment to delivering high-quality gaming experiences to their audience are commendable. As fans eagerly await the return of Gunvolt Records to the eShop, they can rest assured that Inti Creates is dedicated to ensuring that the game is available for all to enjoy.
