After several years of anticipation, Bethesda Game Studios has officially announced the release date for the long-awaited ‘next gen’ update for Fallout 4. Set to launch on April 25, 2024, this update will bring a host of new features and improvements for players on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.

One of the most significant upgrades included in the update is the introduction of stable 60FPS gameplay and increased resolutions. Players can also look forward to Performance Mode and Quality Mode options, giving them more control over their gaming experience. In addition, Bethesda has promised a range of fixes and improvements to enhance overall gameplay.

Not leaving any platform behind, Bethesda has also announced updates for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC players. While Xbox One and PlayStation 4 owners will receive stability improvements, login enhancements, and quest fixes, PC players can expect widescreen and ultra-widescreen support, along with various fixes for Creation Kit, quests, stability, and mods.

In addition to the game updates, Bethesda has revealed new Creation Club items that will be available at the end of April. Players can look forward to a major quest linked to the Enclave Remnants, workshop items related to The Enclave, and a Makeshift Weapon Pack featuring unconventional objects turned into deadly weapons. A Halloween Workshop kit with spooky decorations for settlements is also on the horizon.

As part of the ongoing celebrations for the launch of Amazon Prime Video’s Fallout TV series, Bethesda is adding new content to Fallout Shelter. Players can now recruit six new vault-dwellers, including characters from the show, and participate in questlines inspired by the series. Themed weapons and outfits will also be available for players to collect.

With the release of the Fallout TV series and these exciting updates for Fallout 4 and Fallout Shelter, it’s clear that Bethesda is committed to expanding the Fallout universe. As we approach the launch date of the next gen update, fans can expect more announcements and surprises in the weeks to come. Stay tuned for further details and get ready to experience Fallout like never before.
